Cute Hairstyles For Cute Winter Hats

Hat hair isn’t always a bad thing!

Who says you have to sacrifice form for function, or in this case fashion . . . when it comes to staying warm in the winter! Women tend to avoid hats when the temperature drops to avoid the dreaded hat hair look.  But everyone knows that you lose the greatest amount of body heat through  your uncovered noggin, and that is why you need to bundle up and top off in the winter. Its possible to look good while staying warm. Check out these adorable hats and their accompanying hairstyles. Your next fashion statement can be both functional and fabulous at the same time!

If you’re opting for a knit hat you have chosen a classic and easy style. While any length hair works well with a knit hat, you can add a touch of pertness by simply letting your hair peek out. Pull a few chunks of hair down on either side, or try deep side swept bangs to add an effortless vibe to your look. Or, wear the hat a bit farther back on your head to show a bit more hair and to frame your beautiful face!

Who says a wide brim hat is only a summer affair? A wide brim hat can keep you warm and looking chic at the same time. Both loose waves, and a braided ponytail, look great when topped off by a wide brim slouchy hat.  Loose waves have a beachy, sexy vibe (even in cold weather!) while a ponytail is practical and tells everyone that you take your style seriously.

Beanies are great for keeping warm and looking great. Like the knit cap, you can wear them more forward to back on your head to allow for different cute hairstyle options. Generally speaking, you and your hat will look best if some of your hair is peeking through; try long softly curled tendrils with the rest tucked up and away.

If your look or style calls for a more serious approach, you can always sleek your hair back into a low bun and top off the look with a leopard beret. Any sleeked back hairstyle will make a statement with this hat.

Remember, great hair can make the difference between looking fab in your hat and looking just covered up. Treat your hair well during the winter months and keep a small bottle of Argan or Moroccon Oil in your purse. A quick spritz once you take your hat off will ward off hair static and restore moisture and luster to your hair, so you’ll look great inside as well as outside.
