Hairstyles with Bows  So, Pretty So Easy

Chances are when you were a little girl you wore a lot of bows in your hair. You were making a fashion statement, even if you didn’t know it!  Well just because you have grown up doesn’t mean you have to ditch the bows for more sophisticated hair accessories. Done right, hairstyles with bows are totally on trend, and add an element of glamor and sexiness to any look. So this spring, join in on this super cute trend and add a bow to your hairstyle!

For a sexy Tom-boy look, braid your hair and finish the end off with a bow. This look is very relaxed, perfect for the weekend or a more casual day at work. To make sure the bow stands out, braid your hair more towards the side so it hangs over your shoulder, then clip a bow (preferably a smaller sized one, or one that is proportional with your the volume of your braid) to the hair tie. Both floppy and crisp bows work well with this look.

    Updo Hairstyle With a Bow

For a sweet and sexy up-do, pin a bow at the top or bottom of your bun at the back of your head. This can be a very chic look, and depending on the size of the bow you use, you can go for demure or full on glam. A medium sized bow will add the finishing touch to any bun, whether it is detailed or just messy. Either way it will look pulled together.

Sleek Top Knot Hairstyle with a Bow

Chic and sophisticated hair bows added to a top knot are very glam, and can work for both the office and after hours if you keep everything proportional. This medium size hair bow is balanced with the volume of the top knot and rich textures in her outfit.

Go Retro Preppy with a bow headband. A great way to rock the trend is by wearing a cute headband that already has a bow on it. Look for one that is placed to the side so it accents your hair. You may end up looking a bit too Minnie Mouse if you opt for a bow on the crown of your head!

Half Up Ponytail Hairstyle with a Bow

Preppy meets Bo-Ho chic with a floppy bow. If your style is more California beach than East Coast Yachts, a more laid back look is to tie a thick ribbon around a half-up ponytail. Using a fab ribbon for this hairstyle adds a level of sophistication, but still keeps that casual vibe. Separate your hair into a half-do and tie a thick ribbon around the ponytail, allowing the bow to be slightly droopy.

In-Between trims sophistication can be achieved with a tiny bow to clip your bangs to the side while you’re between trims or trying to grow them out. Pin your bangs back and clip with a tiny bow. Proportion is key here – don’t overwhelm your features or draw too much attention to your in-between hairstyle with an over-sized bow. Small and subtle works best for this style. Pull back the long front strands of hair and pin them back with a small bow. For an even cuter look, braid or twist the strands before clipping back.
