And this is what high fashion hair dressers do in their spare time!

I love it. Here is an event which encourages hairdressers to push the envelope, to go where no other man has gone before, to create a high fashion hair new vision. This is an event that sparks the young minds of hair dressers across the globe to be outrageous, to go for it, to come up with the ideas that will ignite the next new high fashion hair look or trend. What an appropriate setting it was too, in Milan, Italy, truly a city of budding artists.

They came from Europe, Asia, Africa, Pacific Region, North America and Latin America to compete in the 4th annual event for the title of, “Worlds Best Young Hair dresser.” Trend Vision sets the scene in advance by setting four categories for the hairdressers to work from to create their interpretation of that trend. Trend Vision categories were, Techno Nature, Real Daydream, World Fusion and Gothic Luxury. There were 52 teams from salons across the world that competed for the gold, the silver and the bronze awards. The show is unique also in that the teams put together their “total image,” of hair styling, makeup and clothing at the show. Over 3,500 beauty professionals attended and were able to watch the artists’ creations from start to finish.

The jury was made up of international experts who awarded points based on their technical skills of hair styling, makeup and clothing. The winner of the gold, Aurelio Ramos de Oliveria, from Portugal will now take part in many Wella Professional projects and said, “We’re overjoyed that five months of intensive preparation for this major competition has paid off.

”I know most of you won’t be wearing anything close to the look above, but . . . it’s all in the name of artistic creation!

The silver was awarded to, Georgiy Dzhagaev from Dmitry Vinokurov salon in Russia.

The bronze goes to, Tinaso Pharsakorn from Hair I Am salon in Thailand.
