    1. Hi Nida,

It sounds like your friend lightened your hair using a color remover or a lightener. These products expose the underlying pigment of your hair which can result in the tones that you described.

I have seen this several times in hair salons, but it is nearly impossible for me to teach you how to correct your hair color without seeing it. What I can do is give you some wonderful insider tips to help.

      1) Start using a quality shampoo and conditioner. Because lightening takes a toll on your hair, getting it back in optimal condition before you color it again is very important in order to achieve great results. You could also benefit from additional products including conditioning and protein treatments.

      2) Check out a color wheel. Use the color wheel to find which color will neutralize your current hair color. You can do this by choosing a hair color that has a base tone of the color directly across from the unwanted color on the color wheel. For example, if the unwanted color is orange, choose a hair color with a blue base to neutralize the orange tones.

      3) Use a semi-permanent or demi-permanent hair color. I do not recommend trying to color your hair any lighter. Lighteners can cause serious damage to your hair. Instead, I recommend toning the present hair color. If your hair has unwanted orange tones, I suggest finding a light ash brown hair color like this one by Wella.

      Good luck!

    2. So i dyed my hair a jet black (which I loved for a while) but I want to go back to my natural hair color which is dirty blonde. I have tried everything to strip it out. My friend tried this thing which is stupid of me to let her do and now my hair is like a strawberry blonde but with more orange and i hate it. I don’t have the money to go to a pro to get it fixed and was wondering if there is anything I can do at home to fix this problem. I’m going to be going on vacation with my family in April and I don’t want to go looking like this. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
