Short Hair Updos

Short Hair Updos

Short hair updos the messy side bun or the quiff in less than 5 minutes!

Short hair updos like this cute hair style above, reminds me of a 30’s flapper coif with a hint of California boho and a twist of controlled funky hair styles all put into one! It just takes a little bit of ingenuity and maybe thinking outside the box to come up with these cute ideas for short hair updos!

Britney asks:

I have medium length hair with long layers, just touching my shoulders, and I’m not very good at styling it. I basically wear it one of two ways, smoothed with a hair dryer, round brush and touched with a flat-iron, or scrunched and air-dried to work with my natural wave. I want to find an easy short hair updo but haven’t a clue what to do with it – can you help?

Our friends at EndlessBeauty.com have lots of quick and easy video tips on updos, hairstyles, makeup and fashion. Here is a great 2 minute video on “How to get a quick messy side bun” which is done on medium length hair with layers – perfect for you! (Check out their site for more quick how-to’s.)

The ‘Quiff,’ is a quick and easy short hair updo!

Kelly asks:

I recently cut my hair short, a crop cut with longer layers and love it but, I pretty much style it the same all the time. I wear side swept bangs and just tuck it behind my ears. Any suggestions on a new cute way to style my short hair would be appreciated.

Here is your perfect makeover Kelly! The quiff is a hair style that has been reborn, changed up a bit of course, but it goes back to 50’s and earlier with these famous celebrities! The quiff is a perfect way to make an short hair updo, and the beauty of it is it can look, modern, funky or elegant – your choice!
