    TIGI Co-founder Guy Mascolo Passes

TIGI brand hair care products co-founder, Guy Mascolo, passed away May 6, 2009 at home after suffering a major heart-attack. With a natural talent and love of the hair industry, Mascolo and his brother launched TIGI brand in the 1980’s and watched it gain popularity since. You might know Mascolo’s products from TIGI’s, “Bed Head” line. These are some of my favorite products and I was lucky enough to attend a TIGI Fashion/Hair Show in Las Vegas in the past few years and rub elbows with the Mascolo family. Their products are fabulous and the family is a hard-working one. Guy Mascolo will be very missed by the beauty industry.Hair News Article

As See On TV Hair Tools

Are you addicted to home shopping networks and infomercials? If so, then you may have spotted the Split Ender on one of these channels recently. I know how you feel, infomercials suck me in and make me want to buy it and buy it now! The Split Ender promises to end split ends and dry brittle hair with their ‘amazing’ product that snips ‘just the ends’ of layers and more. I’m telling you, as a professional hairdresser, that nothing will magically fix split ends. I’d save your sixty bucks and head to your hairdresser to get regular trims and conditioning treatments instead.
